Exotic Plants Ltd. will start donating 5% of all plant sales today, to aid the American Red Cross relief effort in Japan. The store will be donating 5% of all live plants sales through April 30th, 2011.Owner, Kifumi Keppler, was born and raised in Osaka, Japan and is very concerned. She has been in touch with family in Osaka, and many friends in the Tokyo area, and all are safe; but she is hoping to help in any way she can. Kifumi, a Japanese American, has been an avid horticulturalist and owner of Exotic Plants Ltd. for more than 38 years.
