Plant of the Week

The Rex Begonia

These plants are known for their showy, sometimes jaw-dropping leaf coloration. These plants are grown almost exclusively for their foliage - their blooms tend to be small and less showy, so many growers pinch off blooms to maintain breathtaking leaf displays.

Basic Care:
Be sure to keep your Rex Begonias in light, in direct light. Water them once a week but DO NOT over water. Wait till soil is relatively dry before watering. Rex Begonias do tend to hibernate, so don't be worried if your plant looks bare, as long as it has good care it will come back looking beautiful!
