Success Story!

Orchid Workshop Success Story

" The orchid workshop was one of my first plant experiences ever! Having a love for orchids over many years did not guarantee that they'd survive under my care. Poor things didn't stand a chance until that fateful day when I learned everything I needed to know to help my orchids thrive. I can stand proud and declare --- not only are my orchids living well, but they are actually showing signs of flowering stalks! I've never experienced this type of success!
Thank you Kifumi for sharing your vast knowledge and expertise of plants and orchid care." - NI

Remember, our Free orchid workshop is on Saturday, September 7th from 11 am - 12:30pm. Seats are filling! Call to reserve yours before they're gone!

Plant of the Week

The Brachycaulos is one of the more common species in the Tillandsia (air plant) family. Although it may be a usual specimen in the plant world, it stands a part from the rest for it's beautiful bloom. When it turns red, its ready bloom a most spectacular flower. It's blends in a bit in the photo, but located in the middle of the plant is a sprout coming through. With lots of light and love it surely will be a stunning piece in our shop.

We recommend tillandsias for their easy care and overall versatility. They are root-less. Meaning, no soil required! You can place them in any pot, glass, or container, as long as they are in good, bright in-direct light. Watering should take place once a week. Either soak them in water for 30 minutes or a give them good spray and that should do the trick.

Be sure to check out our pinterest page to see creative tillandsia arrangments and terrariums! There are endless possibilities with the Tillandsia!

Handcrafted Wood Bowl

Handcrafted Bowl
This wood bowl was handcrafted by an expert wood artist from the Sacramento area. Prevalent in 2006, this artist was very well known for his craftsmanship in taking the roots of trees and transforming them into breathtaking pieces of art. The bowl pictured is made from redwood burl, a rich deep burgundy wood with a bright toffee edge. The artist, apart from other carvers, used his skills to create a wavy appearance on the lip of the bowl. Which gives its defining feature of being one of the most unique bowls on the market.
The artist, as we're aware of, no longer creates these beauties - making this a one-of-a-kind.
This work of art is $950 and well worth the price!

Hand Crafted Wood Bowl

Made from the same artist, this bowl is also one-of-a-kind. The sweet toffee color makes a perfect touch to create a lighter approach to any decor.

The craftsmanship of the bowl is outstanding! Made from a root from a tree in Thailand, this bowl speaks quality and beauty.

This is unlike any wood bowl you've ever seen.

This work of art is also $950 . A reasonable asking price for such an incredible piece that you wont find anywhere else!
